In-vitro antioxidant studies were carried out by using standard methods on fruit extracts of Ventilago maderspatana Gaertn. belonging to family Rhamnaceae. It is an important and well known plant in the Indian system of medicine. Fruits of Ventilago maderspatana Gaertn. were subjected to maceration by using distilled water and ethanol. Aqueous and ethanolic extract were prepared from the Fruits of Ventilago maderspatana Gaertn. ethanolic extract of fruits showed the more potent anti-oxidant activity than aqueous fruit extract of V. maderspatana.
